Libiamo Restaurant Site Redesign

“Hey Mike, how’s it going? I need a website.”

Ok, have any idea what you want it to look like? Oh, it’s up to me? Cool, what do you want on your site? All you have is a single page word document? Mmm'kay… i guess… um, just send me all the content you have and we’ll go from there…

Don’t you just love requests that start out like this? Tough as it may be sometimes, it certainly lets you stay in creative control.

For this project i started out by heading on down Libiamo to take some on-site photography. In fact, every single creative asset came from those shots. The iron work and brick texture came from the outside of the building, and the olive, eggplant, and maize color palette from within. As for the interior photos, a partially masked layer of faux oil paint brushwork was used to bring out better focus as well as the “feel” of the building’s time period.

This project was definitely a fun build and I am thankful that the client shared in my enthusiasm.
