imSuperb.com Goes Live
Picking up on this job where my friend left off, never in my life have I said the word “superb” so frequently. After a few sit-downs, phone conversations, and long winter months, my freelance partner and I thought we had the content and functionality wrapped up. But, there was still a problem:
No one could agree on the logo or final creative.
Simply put, we were working backwards from what we had planned and yet in the end, I believe everyone was very satisfied and thankful that we changed everything one last time, especially the logo.
To wrap things up, I could point out all the things we learned along the way but I'd rather tell you where the creative inspiration came from as it is far more interesting. During my first conversation with the client I asked, “What would you like your site to look like?” The client reached for his cell phone, slid it across the table and grinned. It was mayan blue in color with the luster of car paint and also sported thin chrome accents. I laughed and then followed up with, “Um, what kind of music do you like?” They said heavy metal. From that point on I knew that defining a distinction between what they want from their site and what their users would want would be the bigger challenge along the way.
If you have the high energy, positive attitude, and endurance that my clients have or wish to attain it, I strongly recommend signing up and becoming SUPERB!
